The annual Sound of the County Invitational welcomes marching bands from across Georgia and the surrounding region to Harris County High School for an educationally focused festival and competition experience.

An Educationally Driven Event

Our adjudicators are experienced music educators selected for their ability to provide positive, constructive, and meaningful feedback. The goal of the Sound of the County Invitational is to support student growth, recognize achievement, and provide every participating program with a valuable performance experience.

Band Classifications

Classifications are based on the number of wind players in each ensemble.

Class A
1–24 winds
Class AA
25–49 winds
Class AAA
50–74 winds
Class AAAA
75–100 winds
Class AAAAA
101+ winds

5 & Under - Free

 

 

 

Tickets/wristbands are good for the all-day event, however there is *NO RE-ENTRY* after leaving stadium.

Stadium Policies

HCHS enforces a clear bag policy at all events. Only bags made of clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC are permitted.

 

Non-clear purses, totes, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, and patterned bags should be left at home or in your vehicle.

 

Exceptions are made for medically necessary items and diaper bags, and guests should be prepared for security screening upon entry.

Concessions

Concessions will be available throughout the event. Add accepted payment types and any outside-food restrictions here.

Parking

Access HCHS via GA HWY 116 entrance only. 

 

Parking is available for no additional fee. Please follow direction of Parking Attendants when you arrive. Handicapped Parking is available with continuous shuttle service to stadium. 

 

Mobley Road entrance will be closed day of event. Traffic to HCCMS entrance will be rerouted. 

Accessibility

Shuttles will be available to transfer those with mobility issues from ticketing booth to stadium seating areas. Please see ticket agent for more assistance.

Tiger Stadium

Located on Georgia Highway 116, Tiger Stadium is approximately 10 miles east of Interstate 185 in Hamilton. The stadium features an artificial-turf field, strong sound projection, clear visual sightlines, and home-side seating for approximately 4,000 spectators.
